Festive season Study Tips

Yaaaay! It is that time of the year again, characterized by high spirits amid the hustle and bustle. If you plan to join in festival celebrations AWESOME, however do not give up on your preparation. A wise man once said “virtue comes not from chance but long study”. One needs to realize that this comes from proper planning and creative ways of studying while living in the moment. If it happens that your preparation clashes with festival celebrations here are a few suggestions for you:


Formulate studying schedules

One should ensure that their timetable is suitable for the festive season. It is also advisable to have an advanced preparation. A studying schedule is the best way to stay accountable to your time. Formulating a learning schedule is beneficial as it assists one to lay out their timetable as well as setting out intended study goals. It is encouraged that you do more of revision than studying of new concepts. Intensive studying is appropriate early morning and late nights (10pm – 12pm).


Have your own study area

Worried that the house will probably be overflowing with relatives or friends and this might not work for you? Find yourself some nice corner away from distractions including televisions and the internet and make sure you maximize the little time that you get to the fullest. You are allowed to take short breaks as long as they don't turn into hours!


Devise innovative ways to studying

Around this time it may not be possible to study in your room at your comfortable table as you are

surrounded with many people and adventures thus take this opportunity to get new information from possible distractions.


Attitude is everything.

It is essential to realise that you will not always prepare for an exam with a high momentum. The right attitude and well-deserved breaks are key as they are efficient ways for the body and the mind to cool off. The right attitude assists to deal with stress that comes with the festive season.


Maintain a flexible routine

Accept that your study schedule will be adjusted, after all it is a quality time to connect with your loved ones. Participate whole heartedly in family activities to avoid regrets of not having a great time and unnecessary stress during thing this time. Try as much to strike a balance between studies and festive activities, study in breaks with great concentration and productivity when needed.


Keep things simple

Do not complicate things by looking for perfection in your activities. Multitasking such as welcoming guests, studying, household chores will be expected from you but in all this look on the brighter side. Manage your activities such that they do not overburden you.
